The night was filled with electric performance from Tema based music duo R2Bees, Lynx Entertainment acts Kidi and Kuami Eugene, King Promise, AMG Medikal, Darkovibes of La Meme Gang. Killbeatz, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Mensa, DJ Akuaa, DJ Nitamare, and DJ Tunez were on the turntables.

Despite Kwesi Arthur pulling out at the eleventh hour due to ‘issues beyond his control,’ massive crowd thronged the Playstation Theatre to witness the definition of Afrobeats as they were left chanting and singing word for word every song by the musicians on the bill.

According to organizers of the show, the idea for the concert was birthed out of the desire to export Ghanaian talents to the American audience.

After realizing the lack of Ghanaian artiste present in the afrobeats scene in America, we decided that we would put together a concert that would be the first of its kind,”

“We hoped to not only highlight the Ghanaian music industry in America but to also display afrobeats to the World. With this idea in mind, we birthed the Afrobeats to The World, Nineteen 57 Concert.”
