We are coming into the music industry to save and sign up-and-coming artistes – CEO of BaCity Recordz

BaCity Recordz Label, a new music label in Ghana has promised to change the fortunes of undiscovered talents in Ghana.
Artiste manager and CEO of BaCity Recordz Label, Frank Okyere revealed in a quick chat with AmeyawDebrah.com that the label has plans of discovering and promoting these talents in the mainstream.
“We are a new record label in the system but our main aim is to help and sign upcoming artistes in order to support their music career. We are interested in the underground or up-and-coming artistes, to push them to the mainstream,” he said.
Bacity recordz has been in existence since January 2019 but yet to be launched fully in Accra. According to Mr Okyere, artistes who are signed on are to cover a broad spectrum in the industry from highlife, hiplife, Jazz, contemporary Christian music, Dancehall, Reggae, Rock and so on and also work with different managers in the music industry.
BaCity Recordz Label will engage in a wide range of functions in the music industry including new artist recruitment and development (known as A&R), music publishing, and copyright enforcement and marketing is one of a record label’s most important functions.
All upcoming artistes who wish to join this new label can contact the CEO of BaCity Recordz through (bacityrecordz@gmail.com) with their mixtapes and cover art for screening.
