We do fight and quarrel sometimes – Keche on their relationship dynamic as a musical duo
Famed Ghanaian musical duo Keche, composed of Joshua Kojo Ampah and Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, have opened up about the dynamics of their relationship as a musical pair, acknowledging that they do experience conflicts.
Speaking on The Afternoon Show on TV3, Keche shed light on the realities that come with collaboration, breaking the stereotype of seamless partnerships in the entertainment industry. While the duo is known for their infectious music and stage chemistry, they admitted that disagreements and quarrels are an inherent part of their 15 years musical journey.
The ‘Party of the year’ hitmakers emphasized that though they find themselves quarreling at times, they try as much as possible to put their differences aside for the sake of their brand. This revelation humanizes the duo, demonstrating that creative partnerships, even when successful, are not immune to occasional conflicts.
”We do fight and quarrel sometimes, but we put our differences aside for our brand. I mean we come from different backgrounds with different upbringings so definitely there would be misunderstandings.
”Sometimes we find ourselves not talking for weeks, months and we still go on stage to perform. One thing we do not forget is that we have a brand which we’ve fought so hard to sell to the public,” they said.
