West Africa’s biggest music workshop hits Accra

Published

on

Come Sunday, 13th January from 3pm many instrumentalists, singers, sound technicians and music lovers will converge at the spacious auditorium of Tesano Baptist Church in Accra for an interactive music workshop dubbed ‘Bass Clinic II’. The seminar, arguably West Africa’s biggest music workshop and jam session, enters its fourth edition phase should it come off this Saturday with the previous editions chalking huge successes. As usual, it will feature some of the most seasoned music minds in Ghana who will share ideas, principles and experiences they have acquired within the music circuit over the years. Speaking to Opoku Agyemang Sanaa, a talented bass player and one of the founding brains behind this Bass Clinic, about how the whole initiative has evolved, he related that what began as strictly a workshop for bass players has become a workshop for all affiliated to music.  ‘It was a discussion among friends and all we wanted was a way of interacting with many bassists in Ghana so we can share ideas and make good music especially when it comes to instrumentation. Now the idea has become big and we are blessed to be where we are right now covering music in general and anticipating a record turnout for the fourth edition’. Having featured many top musicians and instrumentalists from many countries, Bass Clinic 4, dubbed ‘the Journey to Mastery’ will feature music minds covering various areas of music: Cwesi Oteng (Song Composition), Eugene Zuta (Music Ministry), Victor Dey (Synergy in Music), Denzel Agyemang-Prempeh (Vocal Technique) and a one-on-one session will celebrated drummer (Francis Osei), bassist (Philip Acquah), keyboardist (Kofi Kpabitey) and guitarist (Prince Mathews Hakeem). All is set for a great showdown this Sunday, 3pm at the auditorium of Tesano Baptist Church. Patrons will be required to part ways with an entry fee of GHc 10 and tickets to that effect are selling hot at Sunny FM and Virtual Sounds. This is a must-attend event for all music lovers. The special jam session after the interactive seminar promises to be another high point of the event. Make sure you don’t miss out.]]>
