Ghanaian Hiplife musician and entrepreneur, Belinda Akua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel has added her voice to comments made by her son, Kwame Adepa, otherwise known as Okomfo Black on God, religion and creation.

Yesterday, in an interview that has now gone viral on social media, Adepa  stated that he doesn’t believe human beings were created by God, but instead, were given birth to by their fellow humans.

According to him, he only recognises the fact that his mother (Mzbel) brought him into the world, and not any supernatural human being creating him.

Adepa also known as Okomfo Black made this statement while answering the question, “Who created You?” in the interview.

“My mother did, she gave birth to me. I believe through science human beings were born not created. And if human beings were created in the first place I never got to see God as my father or my mother,” the 10-year-old boy responded.

Adepa’s utterances started a conversation on social media; while some praised him for being smart at his very young age, others questioned his mother, Mzbel’s parenting skills.

In a new post shared on her Instagram page, Mzbel has defended Adepa’s statement adding that yes indeed, they do not believe in the existence of an Almighty God.

“YES! We dont believe in the existence of an Almighty God, because we know that everything or anything that has life no matter how big or small is a God, that is why when we pour libation (Pray) we acknowledge and honour all those energies (God). Our ancestors are dead but their blood and spirit runs through us, we are their DNA so we honour them too,” she wrote.

Mzbel also encouraged her followers to ask questions themselves important questions about faith and religion.

“We are all God’s… spend time with yourself in quietness, ask questions, and patiently wait for the answers from within u! You will be amazed,” she added.
