Stonebwoy recounts how he got beaten by his dad for using his preaching cassette to record

Award-winning Reggae/Dancehall artistes, Stonebwoy has recounted his humble music beginnings.
The “Ariba” singer states that he’s always known he was built for music ever since he was a kid.
In a recent interview with Bernard Avle on “The Point of View” show on Citi TV, Stonebwoy narrated the point in his life where he started recording music.
According to Stonebwoy, his dad had gotten him and siblings a computer at an early age and he worked his way around using it.
“My dad got us these Dell computers. I quite remember when I was in class four I could find my way around computers. There’s a recorder , I remember I’ll play the Shaggi cassette or the Sean Paul cassette and there was some small instrumentals on the side. So I’ll take my father’s preaching cassette and the double decker and record, and you know it had a side A and side B,” Stonebwoy told Bernard.
The Grammy recognised musician who is currently promoting his new song about the Galamsey menace in Ghana, revealed that he got in trouble one time for using his dad’s preaching cassette to record.
“…so one time he and his elders were listening to a message and as they were listening, he turned to side B and it was me screaming on that side. I think I still have marks from that beatings,” he recounted laughing.
