24 hours in Atlanta: Walking in the shadows of Martin Luther King Jr

Published

on

My first ever trip to Atlanta was short but in 24 hours, I tried to soak as much in as possible, visiting the CNN center as well as the historic Auburn Avenue, home to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park.   The park comprises several buildings including Martin Luther King Jr.’s boyhood home and the original Ebenezer Baptist Church, the church where King was baptized and both his father Martin Luther King Sr. and he were pastors.   It was a surreal feeling exploring these places, which are critical to the interpretation of the life of Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy as a leader of the American Civil Rights Movement. https://youtu.be/VEIc5FDHxWM In part one of 24 hours in Atlanta, I share my experiences at the Park and more. Stay tune for my acting debut in part 2.]]>
