I want to be the first Ghanaian Afro-Pop singer to fill up the Accra Sports Stadium -TiTi Owusu

According to rising Afro-pop and R&B singer Titi Owusu, although alternative music isn’t mainstream in the Ghanaian music space, she hopes to be the first artist to fill up the Accra Sports Stadium with her smooth sounds.

The Vodafone Icons Remix Edition second runner-up in an interview with AmeyawTV’s JQ recounted her musical journey and what her dreams for the future are.

In the conversation, TiTi expressed some concerns over the lack of support for alternative music genres like soul, R&B, and pop in Ghana.

She said:

“I hope that Ghanaians start to pay more attention to artists like myself who make alternative music because there is so much talent in Ghana. We shouldn’t just say Afrobeats is the only genre to support because there are so many talents waiting to get the support and I am praying we get there soon.”

On what such support would help her career, she announced her ultimate music goal of hosting a one-man showcase of her to the largest audience in the country.
