okyeame3-500_optPopular UK-based Congolese comedian, Eddie Kadi, and multi-award winning Hiplife artiste Okyeame Kwame, are both slated to perform at the finals of Born Starz. The two heavyweight performances will draw down the curtain on the maiden edition of the Viasat1 talent show, which has been running for the past 13 weeks.

The finalists, Nero-X, Felicity, Maame Esi, Prince and Divinity Blazers will have their last chance to justify their talents and win the ultimate prize, at the Accra International Conference Centre. With just hours to the grand finale, the finalists are already looking forward to impress the judges Ben Brako, Paulina Oduro and David Oscar, as well as the audience and the presenter, Chris Attoh.

The ultimate winner gets an all-expense-paid trip to the United Kingdom , an opportunity to perform and appear at Ghana ’s Independent Day event in the UK , an exclusive photo shoot with Ghana ’s best photographer Ernest Simons, and many more! The first and second runner-ups also receive consolation prizes ranging from an LED TV set each, a month’s mentoring with a celebrity, and more.

Born Starz is a true celebration of Ghanaian talents as both young and old are given the platform to perform on stage with the aim to win the grand prize. The Chief Executive Officer of Viasat1, Charlotte Gustavsson, is excited about Born Starz. She said “The introduction of Born Starz will help more of our viewers to identify with the Viasat 1 brand as their own. This is another step in our continuous effort to invest in Viasat 1. Over the months, we have unveiled a number of OWN productions, and the addition of our new talent show confirms our goal to deliver on our promise.”

The finals will be aired on Viasat1 on Saturday 12 January 2013 at 8pm and also catch the highlights on Wednesday at 8:30pm.
