Photos: Former President John Mahama visits Grace Nortey

Former President John Dramani Mahama has paid a courtesy call on veteran actress, Grace Nortey.

 

The visit is confirmed to have happened on Monday, September 12, 2022, this according to Edudzi Kudzo Tamakloe, member of the National Democratic Congress’ legal team.

In a Facebook post, Mr Tamakloe shared that the former President drove through the rains just to pay Ms Nortey a visit.

“The man with the heart of gold: JM drove through the rains this morning to go visit veteran actress Grace Nortey. Kindness is the sunshine in which true love lives. JM is just one of a kind!” he captioned photos of the former President’s visit on Facebook.

This is not the first time former President Mahama is showing up for veteran actors, over the last few years, he is reported to have supported some of them both in cash and in kind.

In September, 2021, it was revealed by popular actor, Mr Beautiful that the former President was donating to the late Kohwe every three months before his demise.

Veteran Kumawood actor, George Appiah Kubi, popularly known as Paa George also disclosed that former President John Dramani Mahama has been taking care of some veteran actors and the wives of some deceased actors for a while now.

Mr Kubi, in an interview with  XYZ TV disclosed that John Mahama met with him and other veteran actors after the funeral of their colleague OD and has since been a blessing to them.

“Mahama is a good man. The strength I have today, I owe to him and God. Since OD died and we went to the funeral with him he has been so good. He met with us and some other veteran actors and actresses at the funeral and since then, he takes good care of us. Every three months he provides us with food like rice and oil with sardines to go with. He adds money that can take care of us for the period,” he revealed in the interview.
