Dynamite Girls Feed Two Hundred Street Children

Dynamite Girls International is a non-profit organization that seeks to raise the next generation of girls to ascend their God-given thrones. Rashida Samed, Founder and CEO of Dynamite Girls mentioned that; We organize free-of-cost weekly transformational mentorship and monthly booth camp sessions that cover a myriad of topics such as self-identity, character development, financial literacy, entrepreneurship etc; to help them become problem solvers and influential leaders in their communities, in line with UN SDG goals 4 and 5.

This term’s community project Dynamite Girls in St Francis Xavier Catholic School and Al Darul Islamic School, Accra Newtown strategized and implemented a food for-all community project. They mentioned that in their community they noticed an enormous number of street children who do not have access to food and shelter. Two Hundred packs of food was given out during the service.  This project took place at the Malata community market.

In the second year of operation and currently, running our program in four (4) basic schools. In their first year, they focused on two schools in the Ashalley Botwe municipality. During that period, they took the girls through selected topics and activities meant to develop them personally, and academically and additionally instill a sense of community and patriotism in them.The first community project,the girls successfully advocated for the completion of a bridge that had been left unattended and had become a death trap to the students and the community as a whole. Within a week after advocacy the bridge was reconstructed. The girls were ecstatic but more importantly, they were convinced that they could also make a difference.
