UK – based Ghanaian Afro dancehall artist, Goldkay has revealed the secret behind his relationship with Kuami Eugene and how they collaborated on a song.

In an exclusive interview on Ameyaw TV, the Afro-dancehall artist disclosed that his relationship with Kuami Eugene came about after Kuami shared his life story with him which seem very similar to his.

“There is only a couple of collaborations that I would say happened organically, so like my collaboration with Kuami Eugene was organic.
“We met each other through our management and at the time he needed a studio and I had a mobile studio so I took the mobile studio to him and he told me his story about how he used to get on trotros and sing and at times people would laugh at him and that was when he was going by a different name”.

He continued; “For me, it was kind of a similar story because when I went to do my masters, I use to go near train stations and sing and people come and drop cash and what not and I was able to raise enough money to go do my masters so it was kind of this same story. “So the idea of bluffing was just more so to kind of let people to know that despite your situation or in regard of what anybody else around you might think of what you’re doing, if you know what you’re doing then do it for yourself, and that’s all that matters,” he told host, Ameyaw Debrah.
