Ghanaian artiste manager and entertainament pundit, Emmanuel Barnes, professionally known as Mr. logic has taken a firm stance against Kumawood actor, Lilwin, declaring his intent to take legal action for defamation.

Lilwin had publicly accused Mr Logic of using a “weed toffee,” prompting a strong response from the aggrieved industry figure.

Mr Logic, known for his straightforward demeanor, while speaking in an interview with Hit FM’s Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, vehemently denied the allegations, emphasizing the potential harm of the accusation to his reputation and professional standing.

Accusations of substance abuse can be particularly damaging in the entertainment industry, and Mr Logic is determined to set the record straight through legal means. He further asserted that a test could be taken on him for confirmation.

The accusation, the artiste manager believes comes after he questioned the actor about his using of Nigerian actors in his yet-to-be released movie dubbed ‘A country called Ghana.’ Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on February 22, 2024, Mr. Logic said he did not understand why LilWin would cast Nigerian actors in a movie that is supposed to portray Ghanaian patriotism and culture.

He admitted that working with Nigerian actors could help the movie reach a wider audience and get the project on an international platform like Netflix, but he was worried that the movie would deprive Ghanaian actors of the chance to showcase their skills and talents.

“It’s a good one because of the agenda to get onto Netflix. But to continue doing the same thing for commercial purposes, I don’t think it’s advisable. The Ghanaian movie industry is still under the carpet. So it’s best if he lifts up the industry by lifting up young talents like Fifi Coleman is doing.

“Why are you making a movie named “A Country Called Ghana” and featuring Nigerians in it? We should put Ghanaian actors and stories first, stories that connect with our people,” he said. “It’s about uplifting our own,” he said.

This did not sit will with Lilwin who has since resorted to insulting and teasing the music industry personality.
