Ghanaian rap sensation, Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, better known in showbiz as Amerado Burner is beaming with pride and joy as his song took center stage at the just ended 67th Independence anniversary celebration.

This comes after his hit song dubbed ‘Kweku Anase’ was used as the official entrance song for none other than President Akufo-Addo, marking a significant milestone in the artiste’s career.

The crooner’s sensational hit was the background music when President Akufo-Addo made entry into the anniversary grounds in Koforidua on March 6, 2024.

Speaking to Tony Best on Akoma FM last Saturday on Entertainment 360, Amerado expressed his delight to have his song played at such an event and said it was a privilege. The rapper expressed his elation, underscoring the honor it is to have his creation serve as a musical backdrop to a moment of national significance.

I’m very grateful to the organisers of the Independence anniversary, this is a massive show of love to me and I’m highly indebted.

“There are a lot of songs making great waves in Ghanaian music but for my song to be played at the apex of the nation’s gathering is huge and I’m humbled. This means I should keep up the good work,” Amerado said.
