Ghanaian international rapper, Blitz the Ambassador has been touring Europe and North America non-stop since the release of his latest album “Native Sun” and he is finally back to the place where it all began, that is Accra.
He will be performing at the Alliance Française on Saturday, October 15 with afro-soul sisters duo, Les Nubian and Ghana’s own top hiplife group, VIP. This will be his first show in Ghana since he left Accra for the US.
Since Blitz’s absence in Accra, hip-hop hiplife has evolved with new faces and extraordinary talent in Ghana and around the world. Hiplife group, V.I.P. has been featured in Blitz’s ‘Akwaaba’ (Remix) to sort of bridge the gap between Blitz’s new rap style and what may be more contemporary to Ghanaian listeners. <<<Download NOW>>
Meanwhile the ‘Native Sun’ album continues to receive rave reviews:
“Every once in a while, I find myself back in the audience, wide-eyed and helpless to explain what my senses are telling me. That’s what happened when Blitz the Ambassador visited Soundcheck.” – NPR
“The djembé-playing artist rocked the stage. He lived up to his name as an ambassador, introducing the audience to his intoxicating, world-wise hop-hop.” – Huffington Post
“Step outside of an American-centric perspective, and it’s a fact that on the global stage, African hip-hoppers are winning the race to the top. Blitz the Ambassador is one of the most exciting artists to emerge from this ascending group.” – Washington Post
