Stonebwoy claims Davido is his favourite Nigerian artist

Stonebwoy: I admire his work ethics. He’s my favorite. He is my biggest Afrobeat artist hands down, that’s my choice. I’m not even trying to cause no fight.

Cuppy: Oh, wait, wait, wait. Hold up, hold up, hold up. Wheel. Wheel the thing. Wheel the thing. Wheel the thing. Wheel the thing. Stonebwoy, you’ve come on my show and announced Davido as your favorite Nigerian artist, do you know what that means, brother?

I think it was a beautiful weekend. Dave was coming, so, that weekend in Ghana was a filled weekend. It was actually my first time going out to some parts in Ghana. I had to take my bro out on them levels, there were road. We did the music, but actually let me say this to his credit; when he was coming into town, was like, “Ah, this time let’s do something.” I’m like, “Okay, cool.” And then I wrote out everything, and then we fixed it. I mean, that, I think, is so humbling.

Boity’s proverb of the week

I had actually chosen two proverbs. But one that, it will always stick out for me is, it’s in isiZulu, but I’ll translate it. It’s, “When you climb the mountain and reach the top, do not forget the branches shrubs that helped your footing.” That basically means, “A person is a person through the people that he or she is surrounded by”. That’s all, it talks to the spirit of community. The spirit of society. The spirit of keeping together, and helping each other. You know how they say, “A child is raised by the village”? It speaks to that. Especially now, with the pandemic, and how we all had to stick together. The proverb speaks to togetherness.
