Asamoah Gyan rescinds retirement decision

However, the President in a telephone conversation on Tuesday impressed on him to reconsider his decision and make himself available to the coach for selection.
Gyan in a release shared on social media on Wednesday said he couldn’t say no to the Presidential request and thus has returned to the team.
Gyan is now expected to be named in Ghana’s AFCON squad which will begin camping on June 1.
A presidential request is one that cannot be disregarded.
