The 2014 edition of the Miss Kwahu beauty pageant, dubbed Miss Kwahu @10 has been launched in Accra. This year’s edition, which  marks the 10th edition of the pageant is aimed at empowering and assisting young ladies to pursue their dreams.

“Miss Kwahu is about making an impact in people’s lives. A lot of people have projects that they want to pursue but they don’t have the means. We decided to bring Miss Kwahu back to help young folks to pursue projects that is geared towards making Kwahu a better place,” comments Miss Kissiwah Adu Adane who won the maiden edition of Miss Kwahu in 2004.

Miss Adu-Adane, who is also the Managing Director of House of Boro, organizers of the pageant added that Miss Kwahu will encourage children in the area to embrace education, as well to promote Ghanaian values among women.

According to the CEO House of Boro, Nana Boro auditions will be held on January 31 at Z-Bar located inside the World Trade Centre in Accra to select young, smart, intelligent and articulate Kwahu ladies between the ages of 18 to 30 years to participate in the pageant. The main event is scheduled for April 19, 2014 at the Modark Royal Hotel in Kwahu, Eastern Region.
