Being an artist and managing DWP USA has been a struggle, but I have found a way to marry both- K. William

American- based Ghanaian musician and C.E.O of Rising Phoenix Entertainment Group, Kweku William has revealed how he is able to manage his music craft and manage a team of dancers.

K William, who doubles as the manager for Dance With Purpose (DWP) Academy USA, in a recent appearance on Ameyaw TV’s “One on One” explained that it has been a struggle, however, he has found a way to marry the two careers.

“It was a struggle from the beginning but what I did was I just started writing music for the dancers, so I’ll write a song and feature them, so one of our latest songs, ‘mako’, I did the vocals on it and worked with Showtime, developed it from scratch”, he said.

K. William added that he has a unique way of writing dance music, which includes sometimes, using the presence of dancers to create.

“There is a way I write dance music sometimes, I observe the dancers, sometimes I can watch a dance video, mute it and make a beat from what they are doing while they dance and sometimes too I’m in the studio.

“I’ll ask the dancers to just be there and I have my ways of developing the sound from that so it’s so easy for me that way to put it out so we write music and push it through them as well”, he told host, Zeinat.

K William is well known in the African community for his high-energy personality and his back-to-back hit songs such as “Hooli”, “Dangerous”, “Vybration”, “Somebody Daughter” amongst others.

For him, the focus is not on being famous but to rather build structure and bridge the gap between the world and African creatives.
