Giovanni Caleb has denied claims that he may have left EIB Network’s GhOne TV and Starr FM due to unpaid salaries.

Giovanni was among a host of media personalities that left the Bola Ray-led EIB Network in 2019 to Media General.

8 months after his exist, CEO OF EIB Network, Bola Ray revealed that most of his staff left due to 7 months unpaid salaries in 2018.

As the timing was inline with Giovanni’s exist, many assumed he was part of the people who left because of the company’s financial woes.

However in an interview on the Delay Show, the ‘Showbiz 360’ host said he left because he wasn’t feeling challenged at EIB and left with Bola’s blessing.

“In this job salary doesn’t really count. I left GhOne almost 2yrs ago because I got to the point where I wasn’t getting that challenge anymore. In fact, I confided in Bola Ray  that i wanted to change my working environment because apart from being my boss, he was also my friend. 

 There were companies trying to poach me but I felt the timing wasn’t right. But when it was right and I told him, he said he would not hold me ransom to anything, if it the best option for me now, why not?” he added.
