Charterhouse to establish the Ghana Music Awards Foundation

To mark over 20 years of hosting Ghana’s biggest music event, organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Charterhouse has announced the yet-to-be-launched Ghana Music Awards Foundation.

Making the announcement at the launch of the 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, CEO of CHARTERHOUSE, Mrs Theresa Ayoade said the foundation will serve as a key advocate to support musicians and the Ghana music industry as a whole.

Through various initiatives to unearth new talents and support existing musicians, the Ghana Music Awards Foundation seeks to serve as a backbone for Ghana’s music industry.

Mrs Ayoade said:

After having run this event for 20+ years and having witnessed firsthand the many challenges facing the Ghana Music Industry, which are mainly to do with the industry’s Ecosystem or lack thereof, we are establishing the GHANA MUSIC AWARDS FOUNDATION to serve as a force for good and advocacy for the Ghana Music Industry.

The date for the official launch of the foundation has not been announced yet.

The 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Night Saturday is set for May 2nd 2020 at the Grand Arena, AICC.
