Cwesi Oteng to performs with mentor ,Fred Hammond at Freedom Concert, March 15!!!

Cwesi Oteng is arguably one of Ghana’s finest gospel artistes who have been able to successfully establish a different stance of Ghanaian Gospel music. He has said that his inspiration was drawn from Fred Hammond Music Ministry.

His obsession with Fred Hammond is so weighty that he would want to do a song of ministration in his honour in an upcoming concert to be held in the Accra Sports Stadium on 15^th March, dubbed the “Freedom Concert”.

Although he states the two haven’t met before, he reveals Fred as a mentor, describing him as a generational artiste who has been relevant in so many generations “like Mary Ghansah”.

Being part of a list of seasoned Gospel artistes including Mary Ghansah, Soul Winners, Ohemaa Mercy, Francis Amo, Joe Mettle who will be performing at the Freedom Concert, Fred Hammond is expected to be in Ghana ahead of the concert.  Cwesi expressed elation describing it as a great privilege to have Fred Hammond perform on the same stage with him.  The  concert is schdule for 15^th March 2014 at Accra Sports Stadium. Fred Hammond is an experienced gospel singer, bass guitar player and record producer who have been in the music industry since 1985. He has won multiple Grammy-, Dove-, Stellar-awards and nominated as a performer, writer and producer on several occasion.
