Don’t Turn My DMs To A Bank Industry- Nollywood Legend Aki Pleads With Fans to stop Begging Him For Money

Celebrated Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze otherwise known as Aki, has recently taken to his social media pages to reveal how some his fans and followers have turned him into a bank; always requesting for money.

In a video posted on his instagram page, the renowned comic actor, lamented about how different manners of monetary requests grace his Direct Message every blessed day. He further expressed his anger over the situation as he described the kind of messages he gets in his DMs, often filled with people begging for huge and small amounts of money.

According to Aki, these people feel so entitled that they make it seem like his responsibility for him to send them money when they ask. He lamented how one of his fans begged him for $35,000 (N26m). While expressing his surprise at the fan’s boldness, he pleaded with his fans to stop begging for money because even celebrities have responsibilities and challenges they face.

“Guys, I dey vex o. I am not happy. This thing is getting out of hand. How can you people turn my DM to Bank of Industry? If I open my DM every time all I see is ‘oga, bros please…please… please…’ Jesus! It is too much. The way you guys dey beg this thing na like say we no get responsibility, ” he said
