After enjoying lots of buzz with his features on several songs last year as well as on his own works such as ‘Kill Me Shy” and “Mene Woa”, Tema-based rapper, Dr Cryme is set to shoot his debut music video as well as release his much anticipated album.

Dr Cryme is expected have extraordinary video shoot for the single “Kill Me Shy” at Citizen Kofi on February 7 featuring copious radio and TV presenters, musicians, movie stars and more. Dr Cryme is already overwhelmed by the response from fans across the world and he hopes that the music video would be a way to reach out further to his ever-growing fan base. Anybody willing to be part of the shoot can send pictures and other particulars to [email protected]

The rapper, who was officially exposed in June 2010 in Tema has turned his catchphrases “Relelelio” (meaning ready here we go) and “Yes Sirrrr” into a signature, which identifies and connects with his fans all over the country.  He has been referred to as ‘the gateway to Tema’ and “Tema Eminem” but his impact as a rapper goes beyond Tema. He performed on most of the big shows in Accra last December including Loud in GH, Rick Ross Blowing Money Fast Tour in Ghana, Ghana Rocks. He has also shared the stage with world-class artistes like Busta Rhyme, D’Banj, Wande Coal, Spliff Star and many more.

Born Kwasi Darlington, Dr.Cryme (abbreviation for Creative Rhymes You Most Enjoy) grew up in Tema and invented the sophisticated Rap genre, ‘Twipop’. He is currently working on his debut album ‘Finally, Finally’ which will include hit songs “Kill Me Shy”, “Mene Woa” and the newly outdoored “I Will Always Be Me”. The album will be due in July.

Dr. Cryme currently presents 4 syte TV’s ‘Top 10 Videos’ on ETV Ghana and is making an immense impact in the music industry through socially viable projects undertaken by him and his E JAM team. This includes the recent UN Volunteers Day Chokor project which is pegged to the Copenhagen conference. Being an Ambassador for the UN project propelled him to assume a position of changing the society’s mindset on offshore development projects and globalization through enormous self financed social education and donations.
