Guru Insulted Me And My Family- Kuami Eugene Opens Up On Why He Can’t Work With Guru

Award-winning Ghanaian artiste, Eugene Kwame Marfo, professionally known as  Kuami Eugene, has opened up in a recent interview about why he will never work with his colleague musician, Guru.

According to the ‘Angela’ hitmaker, he never had any problem with Guru until he (Guru) decided to insult him (Kuami Eugene) and his family in several interviews and songs.

Speaking with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay show over the weekend, the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) Artiste of the year divulged that Guru, who is known in private life as Maradona Yeboah Adjei, is quick tempered, emphasizing that the ‘Lapaz Toyota’ hitmaker slighted, a conduct he can’t endure by any means.

“I didn’t have a problem with Guru but now, I have a problem with him because he has offended my family. He spent time in the studio to insult me and a man who claimed to be my father. Guru is a grown-up, so I didn’t expect him to behave in that manner,’’ he hammered.

It will be recalled that the Lynx Entertainment signee
was accused of being ungrateful by Guru in some series of tweets and to a greater extent warned him of the repercussions his eventual departure from Lynx would have on his karma.

Guru in 2021 released ‘Who Born Dog?’  to express disgust about the Kuami’s decision to not collaborate with him on a song.

But according to Eugene, “I wouldn’t have been Kuami Eugene but for Richie; so, I expect that respect is accorded him no matter the differences that exist. I am under Lynx Entertainment and any song I produce needs to go through them.”
