Happy FM Mass Wedding held on Valentine’s Day

Published

on

The National theatre on Tuesday, February 14 was inundated with a heavy air of love, affection and happiness as 30 couples declared their unanimous decision to spend their lives together. Occurring through the only known mass wedding in the sub region, the Happy FM Valentine Mass wedding celebration aptly celebrated the 14th of February as the Day of Love. As the 7th edition of this Valentine’s Day, it was only natural that the initiative which started out as a Corporate Social responsibility escalates into a much-anticipated national event with individuals from all the different regions participating. The ceremony which pulled out all the stops for the couples had the venue beautifully decorated with ushers and a reception after, making it nothing short of a dream wedding for the wedded couples. Present to support the participants were over 1500 of their families and friends in addition to well wishers.  The event which was organized free for the couples had a star studded line up to cement its already colourful ambience. Officiating the ceremony was award winning and acclaimed founder of Royal House Chapel, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah whose thought-engaging sermon was nothing short of inspiring.  Gospel superstars like the Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Gifty Osei, Ohemaa Mercy, Selina Boateng were also on hand to make the day a truly special one. Highlighting the day’s importance, General Manager of Happy FM, Charles Osei Asibey said “Valentine’s day is not only about love, it’s about sharing and caring. This is why we are sharing in the day of these beautiful couples and show them and the Ghanaian community at large that we care. We are so thrilled with the reception and as usual the numbers were staggering but we could only pick 30 couples to ensure that the optimum experience is had. This event is a personal one for everyone involved from the couples to the organizers and that is what makes it truly unique. This is not a show, it’s an intimate moment between two people and we are privileged to be given access to that experience.” The couples and their families were treated to an equally breathtaking wedding reception for their close family and friends at the Cleaver House after the ceremony in the evening. Food and drinks as well as good music crowned the day’s celebration making it a truly unforgettable event. This year’s ceremony was sponsored by Cake Techniks, Annointed Lady Fabrics, 2nd Image, Little Grown Up Fashions, Danny’s Décor and Bridal Home, Aliquah Home of Fashions, Accra Neoplan Drivers Union, VM Enterprise, TT Brothers. TV Africa, Daily Guide, Flex Newspaper were the media partners for the event.]]>

How to Legally Disclose Sponsored Content on YouTube

Published

on

Sponsorships can be one of your most significant forms of income on YouTube. This makes it even more important to familiarize yourself with the rules around disclosures for sponsored content.

Every country has its own regulations about disclosing sponsored content, but the basics are the same. It is against the law in many places for a celebrity or influencer to persuade a consumer to purchase something without letting the consumer know they’ve been paid to promote the product or service.

It’s important to make sure your audience knows when you’ve been paid to promote a product, especially if you frequently review products without sponsorships. The success of your channel depends on the relationship you’ve built with your audience, so you should always put their best interest first.

Be transparent about your business relationship with your sponsor.

When you’re working with a company, make it obvious right off the bat. Use clear, easy-to-understand language. Speak or write as you normally would. Don’t just read off or copy and paste the legal disclaimer provided by the company. Instead, put it in your own words to make sure your viewers understand.

Sponsored videos are not the place for subtlety. Your viewers trust your opinion, so they should be aware of any outside factors influencing it. If they feel they’ve been misled, they won’t be interested in your future reviews or sponsored videos. Therefore, go out of your way to make it as obvious as possible that the video is sponsored.

Put the disclosure at the beginning of the video or post.

For a sponsored YouTube video, put your disclosure statement right after your intro. Say hi, then tell your viewers about the company you’re working with. Write it in the top of your video description as well. Some content creators also add a watermark in the corner of sponsored videos that says “ad.”

If you’re making a sponsored post, put your disclosure statement at the top. A hashtag at the end is not enough. Basically, your viewers or followers need to know as soon as they press play on a video or start reading your Instagram caption that the content is sponsored. If they don’t know it’s sponsored until the end, then they may feel as if they were misled. Again, your audience’s trust in you is important to your career, and following the regulations for sponsored content disclosure will ensure you prioritize that relationship.

Make the disclosure statement in the same format as the sponsored content.

When you make sponsored content, the disclosure must be in the same format as the content itself. For example, if it’s a video, then the disclosure must be a part of the actual video.

In a sponsored video, the disclosure statement must be verbal. Don’t put it only in the description or as a watermark in the corner of the video. Look directly into the camera and tell your viewers that you’re working with or partnering with the company. Tell them if you were sent free products, as well.

For a sponsored post on social media, having the disclosure in your caption should suffice. However, if you’re posting a short or story, then include a text overlay that says “sponsored.”

Check the exact legal requirements for your country.

Now that you’re familiar with the basics of disclosing sponsored content, be sure to check out the exact legal requirements for your country. Laws vary by region, so research requirements by state, province, or territory as well.

If you’re in the US, then you should research and bookmark the FTC handbook here. The agency takes consumer protection very seriously, so failing to disclose your relationship with a sponsor could land you in hot water.

In the UK, your regulations will come from the FCA, which has also created a handbook of regulations to help influencers like you. Any content creator may find these guidelines helpful, so be sure to check out the FCA handbook here.

If your country doesn’t have specific guidelines of its own, base your disclosures off one of these.

When in doubt, put your audience first.

Overall, your audience’s best interest should be the first thing on your mind. If a sponsor insists that you try to skirt the rules about disclosure or mislead your viewers in some way, then don’t be afraid to walk away from the deal.

If you break your audience’s trust, then you may not be able to create successful sponsored content in the future. However, if you carefully disclose your sponsorships and only promote products you love, then you’ll be in good shape.

Sponsored content comes with ethical ramifications as well as legal. Think about the influence your choices can have on your impressionable viewers. If an influencer you admire posted about your sponsor, how would you feel about the product? Consider the image and values a sponsor represents before making the post.

Sponsored content can be a significant way for YouTubers to make their income. Make sure you follow the proper legal guidelines and there’s virtually no limit to how much you can make through sponsored content.

Published

Chief Executive Officer of Empire Domus, Emmanuel Kojo Jones Mensah in collaboration with the office of former National Health Insurance Authority boss, Mr. Sylvester Mensah, as natives of Keta, have donated items worth thousands of cedis to the displaced Keta tidal waves victims.

The ceremony which took place on Tuesday 23rd November at the forecourt of the Keta Municipal Assembly comes at the back of the recent tidal waves in Keta which destroyed several properties and rendered hundreds of households homeless.

The municipal assembly on behalf of the victims received items including packs of noodles, bags of rice, and packs of canned fish. As well, boxes of tomato paste, cartons of cooking oil, and bags of sachet water were donated to the victims as a means of support to cushion them in these hard times.

Speaking at the event the former NHIA boss Mr. Sylvester Mensah said he hoped their widow’s mite would help provide a little comfort to the displaced persons in all three coastal districts indicating that they might return with more support.

Mr. Emmanuel Mensah on his part said he was moved to join hands with his cousin for the donation as a result of words he heard from a distraught woman which said, “anytime I hear of waves, my heart beats” which he said conveyed the extent of the devastation of the sea on the people, to him.

He said the “token” was to show their concern and care for the people suffering the impact of an act of nature.

Mr. Emmanuel Gemegah, Municipal Chief Executive for Keta who received the donation on behalf of his two other colleagues from Ketu South and Anloga District thanked the donors for their thoughtfulness.

He prayed to God to replenish their stock so they could come back another time to support the victims and help rebuild our motherland.
