Remy Martin Rooted in Excepetion Ghana9Remy Martin’s brand manifesto, ‘Rooted in Exception’ claims the brand’s product superiority and highlights the core pillars of its nearly 300 year legacy, and I recently got the chance to experience it with some delightful food pairing, at the XO Restaurant in Accra.   Since 1724, the House of Remy Martin has produced premium spirits that consistently appeal to the world’s most discerning connoisseurs. As a result of its masterful production and generations of tradition in Cognac, the House of Remy Martin today produces Fine Champagne Cognacs, including Remy Martin V.S.O.P, Remy Martin 1738,  Accord Royal and Remy Martin XO Excellence.Remy Martin Rooted in Excepetion Ghana5 Opening the night with a glass of Sidecar cocktail made from Remy Martin 1738 and some tasty Dim Sum, I could only imagine what amazing pairing could follow next. Often, when I think of food and drink pairing, the easiest thing that comes to mind is wine, so the night was as indulgent as it was educational. Remy Martin Rooted in Excepetion Ghana10 The night continued with yet another Remy Martin cocktail, this time Old Fashion cocktail paired with  Inasal chicken.Remy Martin Rooted in Excepetion Ghana13 For my main, I  opted for a Tuna Teriyaki and it went with Remy Martin V.S.O.P.Remy Martin Rooted in Excepetion Ghana15   Remy Martin Rooted in Excepetion Ghana18And if you thought sweetness did not go mix with spirits, wait till try the dessert, a Chocolate galore (duo of dark and milk chocolate covered with macadamia nut) paired with Remy Martin XO Excellence. We chose to share this manifesto globally as a statement of Remy Martin’s superiority especially for those who may not have a full awareness of our legacy both past and present.” “Rémy Martin is committed to bringing people together for exceptional moments of sharing and celebration. By educating consumers about the values and superiority of our brand, we welcome them to be a part of our future and our global family,” adds Saal. ROOTED IN FAMILY Rémy Martin has been a family business for three centuries, run by two families who share the same values: the Rémy Martin and the Hériard Dubreuil. ROOTED IN CHALK To craft its cognacs, Rémy Martin has made the radical choice of specializing in Cognac Fine Champagne in 1948. This means using grapes only from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, the two most sought after growing areas of the region, which chalky soils grow the most aromatic grapes. ROOTED IN TIME Rémy Martin already understood the magical effects of time: how a company, just like a spirit, can develop and grow finer with age. ROOTED IN TALENT Rémy Martin believes in entrepreneurship and in the talent of people, as it believes in the talent of nature ROOTED IN HARMONY Rémy Martin has a signature cognac style based on harmony thanks to the traditional use of distillation on the lees – with the residual yeast – in small copper stills.]]>

If Stephen Appiah affirms the reported news, he will be following in the footsteps of other renowned figures in Ghana football who have indulged in politics recently.

Earlier this year, all-time top scorer of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan was appointed as the sub-committee chair of Youth and Sports in the campaign committee of Dr Bawumia, the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party.

In acceptance of the appointment, Gyan emphasised the need to share hos ideas garnered through experience in the game.

“I always ask myself, how do we create change if we don’t want to change? How do we spectate without being on the bench, and how do we score without being on the field?… All I know and will ever know, all I love and will ever love is SPORTS.” he stated.

Another figure in Ghana football who recently announced his intention to engage in partisan politics is Kwesi Nyantakyi, former Ghana Football Association (GFA).

The former football administrator showed up as one of the candidates to contest in the NPP primaries for the Ejisu constituency following the demise of incumbent John Kumah.

However, it didn’t pan out well for the former Wa All Stars owner as he lost disappointingly.
