I feel so bad for the locals- Michael Blackson on Cedi depreciation

Ghanaian-American based Comedian and Actor, Michael Blackson has added to the voices of the many Ghanaians who are worried sick about the depreciation of the Cedi.

Over the last few days, the Ghana Cedi tanked so low against the US dollar, causing a hike in prices of goods and services in the country.

Blackson, who arrived in the country a couple of days ago, has expressed his concern for the locals and is on a journey to figure out what the cause of the Cedi depreciation may be.

“I’m in Ghana trying to figure out what’s going on with the cedis. I feel so bad for the locals because $1 was 8 cedis 3 months ago and now it’s doubled so everything is almost twice the price,” he tweeted on Tuesday, October 26.

Meanwhile, Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has announced that President Akufo-Addo will soon address the nation on the current economic situation and the way forward.
