Celebrated Ghanaian singer, actress and entrepreneur, Mzbel, has expressed her heartfelt sentiment, stating that she misses her ‘daddy in politics,’ Former President John Dramani Mahama. 

According to her, it’s been a while since she saw the former president who she whole heartedly supported during the 2016 general elections . The singer/songwriter made this known during a candid interview on 3FM today, August 22, 2023.

‘Its been a while, I miss him. I miss my daddy,” she averred.

When Asked if she still has the contact of her ‘daddy’, the ‘Edey be’ hitmaker responded, ”No, not anymore. I guess he has changed his number. Oh God this is going to be a headline,” she said amusedly.

MzBel, who is privately known as Belinda Nana Ekuah Amoah, further stated that she is no longer interested in having the contact of the former president, adding that she will never chase for it because she did not chase for his previous number. MzBel believes it is better this way as it saves her from the constant attacks, insults and controversies she is mostly exposed to.

”I dont want, because if he wants me to have his number he will let me have his number. I don’t have to chase for it because I didn’t chase it before. I dont want to have his number, because then I would not be  involved in any drama or anything, People from my party calling me name and this… I think like it this way, i like how things are going for me now,” she indicated

According to Mzbel, she is still a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) despite everything that has happened.
