Talented Ghanaian artiste, Kwame Yesu, known for his dynamic fusion of hip-hop and Afrobeats genres has boldly claimed his significant role in the success of his colleague, Black Sherif in the music industry.

Speaking in a candid interview with Ameyaw TV’s VJ Scaro, the ‘Anadwo’ hitmaker made known that he played a major role in propelling Black Sherif to prominence, shedding light on the collaborative dynamics that contribute to an artist’s breakthrough.

According to Yesu, he introduced the reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) ‘Artiste Of The Year’ to the producer behind Blacko’s ‘First and Second Sermon ‘ after a collaboration they did.

‘I introduced Black Sherif to the producer behind his “First and Second Sermon and so I can say he played a major role in his success. it was through my collaboration with Blacko that he met stallion.”

Asked how he felt seeing his colleague making waves globally and doing exceptionally well in the music space, Yesu said, ”It was kinda mixed feelings. Like sometimes you are happy, sometimes you are a little bit down because people ask a lot of questions. But what people fail to realise is that there is time for everything. Maybe I’m just a destiny helper.”
