“I saw this in my sleep every night”- Black Sherif says in his B.E.T Hip-Hop Awards speech
A week ago, it was announced that Black Sherif had secured the prestigious title of “Best International Flow” at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards, cementing his status as a rising star in the global hip-hop scene.
Although news was out about his win already, B.E.T has now aired the award ceremony and Black Sherif’s winning speech has now been shared with the world.
In his speech, Black Sherif revealed that he had dreams about picking up the prestigious award.
“I saw this in my sleep every night,” he began his speech. “I started making music four years ago in a small city in Ghana called Konongo Zongo and there was no way nobody was going to convince me that I wouldn’t be here, that my music wasn’t going global,” he added.

The young superstar further thanked his family, team and fans for believing in his talent.
“Thank so much B.E.T, thank you to God, to my mum, my dad, my team, I love you so much.”
He also encouraged black people in the auditorium to make the return and come back home because they’re royalty in their ancestral countries.
“And to each and everyone of you here, remember you’re kings and queens back home, welcome back home, come back home,” he added.
