Budding Ghanaian reggae/Dancehall musician, Lawrence Senyo Adiase, professionally known as DSL is on a mission to reshape the negative perception surrounding Kasoa, a popular town in the Central Region of Ghana.

Often stigmatized for notorious crimes, murder, strange happenings and disorder, Kasoa is more than these stereotypes, and the young crooner is determined to highlight its positive and artistic potential.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kojo Manuel on the Mile 7 podcast show,  the ‘No Gree’ hitmaker, who was  bred in Kasoa expressed worry over the the ill perception many Ghanaian have about the town. DSL detailed that it saddens his heart to constantly hear negative comments about his homeland.

According to him, some female friends of his have even advised him not to step foot in the town due to the strange events happening there, especially the recent issue of male private parts vanishing randomly.

Asked if he believes those stories of male private parts getting missing randomly, the 2023 VGMA Unsung Artiste of the year said; “Yes I believe them. you see we the Gen Z children we haven’t seen or witness spiritual stuffs, so we make mockery of everything. As for me because of the things I have seen while growing up…I somehow believe.”
