I’ll never return to the music industry – Britney Spears
Famed American singer, Britney Jean Spears has recently announced her decision to never return to the music industry.
The ‘Hold me closer’ singer, who rose to fame in the late ’90s and became a global sensation was responding to claims in the US Media that she was lining up songwriters for a 10th studio album. Her announcement also comes days after rumours surfaced the internet that she was planning a return to the studio.
Spears took to social media to share her sentiments, expressing a mix of relief and determination to move on from the music industry that had both shaped and constrained her life.
”’Just so we’re clear, most of the news is trash!!! They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album … I will never return to the music industry!!!” he wrote.
Some media outlets in the US had suggested that Julia Michaels and Charlie XCX had been taped up as collaborators. But Spears added that she only wrote music for fun and also revealed that she had written more than 20 songs for other people over the past two years.
“I’m a ghostwriter and I honestly enjoy it that way!!!” wrote the singer, known for hits including Baby One More Time, Oops!… I Did It Again and Toxic.
