“It’s Been Hard; I Miss You” – Mohbad’s Widow Shares Tribute on First Anniversary of His Death

Omowumi, widow of the late Nigerian artist Ilerioluwa Promise, widely recognized as Mohbad, commemorated the first anniversary of his passing with a heartfelt tribute.

She described the past year as one filled with immense sorrow and loss, reflecting on the profound impact his absence has had on her and their young son, Liam.

“Ilerioluwa mi, Husband of my youth, my best friend! It’s been a year today since you left me and our Liam in this cold world. It’s been so hard. I miss you so much. Liam misses you too.

“I wish you were here to see him; you would have been an incredible father. I still don’t know how I’ve survived without you. God, I wish you were here every single day, every millisecond of the day,” she wrote.

In the tribute, shared with her followers, Omowumi expressed the depth of her grief and the challenges she has faced since Mohbad’s untimely passing. She mourned the emptiness his loss created, highlighting the emotional struggle of living without him.
