I’ve Produced 36 Musicians and 76 Albums – Kaakyire Appiah

Ghanaian highlife maestro, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah has disclosed that throughout his career, he has produced  about 36 artists in the country.

During an appearance on the Asaase Breakfast Show on Wednesday, August 14, the crooner said, “I have produced 36 musicians who have collectively released 76 albums.”

He mentioned that Kwame Mickey previously managed his company, Kaakyire Music Productions, but noted that the industry has evolved significantly since the days of CDs and cassettes.

Among the artists, he has collaborated with are Osuni Afrifa, Hallelujah Voices, Sibo Brothers, and Paa Solo.

“I have also produced Ex Doe and numerous others. We have collaborated on about five or seven albums with Paa Solo, and I have worked with individuals such as Reverend Michael Osei Bonsu, Abena Amponsah, Uncle Ato, and many more,” he detailed.

The ‘Yekodi Bronya’ singer also expressed his love for gospel music.

“I love gospel music; that is me, but what I know is that the gospel people followed King David, and we, the highlife people, we are also following his son, Solomon, so I have to blend all of them. I love gospel music,” he added.
