The Christmas and New Year period was a time for giving, and many groups and individuals in Ghana spent time with those that needed smiles and joy the most during the season. Ghanaian film maker, Leija Djansi was one such individual who wanted to bring joy to the underprivileged in the society.
The ‘Sinking Sands’ producer spent her New Year’s day with about 300 children at Saviefe Agorkpo, in the Volta Region. She put a little party together that saw the children performing plays and choreography dances to the delight of all. There was also plenty to eat and drink and each child received a goody bag that came with a pen or a pencil depending on the class they belonged.
