Mohbad didn’t leave any will behind – Management tells singer’s father
Management of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, has refuted claims made by his father that the crooner left a will behind.
This comes after Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, in a recent interview, expressed shock that his son at such a young age had already written a will. He said when he saw the will, it wasn’t signed by Mohbad but was rather thumbprinted, wondering why his son agreed to use a thumbprint instead of appending his signature.
However, reacting in a statement shared via the late musician’s official Instagram page on Monday, January 15, 2024, his management described the claim as “false and misleading.”
“No members of Mohbad’s management or his Lawyer have communicated the existence of a will or any such thumb-printed document (as has recently been FALSELY reported) to any member of the family or the public.
“ would like to state with certainty that if any such document did exist, it would have been duly registered with the Probate Registry. We therefore plead with everyone to refrain from sharing false and misleading statements like this,” part of statement read.
The management of the ‘Feel good’ hitmaker further noted that “all accounts owned and controlled by Imole during his lifetime were immediately put on a Post No Debit order on the 12th of September, 2023. This order remains valid till date.”
