Mr Drew’s contract ended, we wanted to still work with him but he was looking at a different direction- Kaywa

Highly Spiritual Music Boss, Kaywa has finally shed light on why his former label signee, Mr Drew left after five years.

A few weeks ago, Mr Drew had shared with Ameyaw TV’s Zeinat that he was no longer under the Highly Spiritual Music label.

According to the energetic crooner who doubles as a dancer, his contract with his former record label (Highly Spiritual Music) ended last year making him independent artiste now.

‘‘I am not on Highly Spiritual Music anymore. My contract ended last year so I’m not on any record label,” he told host Zeinat.

In a recent interview on Hitz FM confirming the news about Mr Drew’s exit and revealing the reason behind his departure, Kaywa stated;

“Mr Drew exhausted his five-year deal with Highly Spiritual. But we thought we still had the strength to still work with him but he said he wanted to look a different direction so we allowed him to go.”

Meanwhile other label mates, including Lasmid are reported to have left the label as well.
