Nigerian Afrobeats singer,  Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, widely recognized as Ayra Starr, has disclosed her indifference towards negative criticism.

According to the ‘Sability’ hitmaker, she remains unfazed because many of her detractors are grappling with depression and financial struggles. She went on to emphasize that concerning herself with others’ opinions is an unproductive use of her time.

The music diva made these statements during a recent interview with Dose Society.

“Trust me, people are living their lives. Everybody is busy. People are hungry. Stop caring and stop thinking what people are thinking about you. People are hungry, tired. Life is hard. Just do you.

“Sometimes, you’re there overthinking, ‘what does this person think about me?’ Then, they’re just like, ‘what’s gonna happen today? Am I gonna make it home?’ she questioned.

Ayra Star continued by saying, “There’s a lot happening in the world, and if you spend your time thinking about what people think about you, you’re just gonna waste time. Do you, find yourself. Be confident in yourself. Don’t care about the outcome. Just do. Don’t be afraid to fail. Fail as many times as you want to but when you get it right, you’re going to be so proud of yourself.”
