Just a day after news went viral that he was involved in a serious accident, the man at the centre of the news, Nana Boroo has refuted the reports. There were reports that the Afro pop musician, known in real life as Nana Osei Bonsu, was involved in a motor accident that sources close him said was “serious”.
In the midst of reports and allegations that the accident story could be a hoax and a publicity stunt, Nana Boroo says he is fine and does not know the source of the story.
Speaking in an interview on Airtel Entertainment News on Drive Time on Joy FM Tuesday, he said, “I think that is so false,” adding that, “I woke up to that news.”
According to him, his mum has been badly affected by the bad news and faulted the media for not doing due diligence by cross checking the facts before going ahead with the news.
The ‘Aha Yede’ hit singer disclosed that he is currently in the US “because of personal business. I am bringing investors to Ghana and the investors are estate developers.”
Nana Boroo stressed that he does not “need this publicity stunt,” noting that, “Me bringing them (investors) alone I think that should be a publicity stunt for me because it is almost seven million dollars (US$7 million) project that we are going to establish in Ghana.”
There are reports that the accident story was fabricated by the artiste to court public sympathy and to revive his career ahead of the release of his latest single and a video.
He revealed that musically, he is still working on a couple of projects but stressed that, music is just “a hobby” but one has “to love it,” to be able to call it a profession.
