Nigerian top model, Ibukun Jegede listed as most successful black model in Nottingham

UK-based Nigerian supermodel, Ibukun Jegede, according to one of the largest media houses in Nottinghamshire (www.thisisnottingham.co.uk), is the most successful black model in Nottingham so far. The 2008 winner of Britain’s Next Top Model of Colour has been a professional model for 8 years and has worked with top designers such as Hugo Boss, Fred Perry, Timberland, Paul Smith and British top fashion label Gloverall.

In 2007, Ibukun was awarded Standout Model of the year by Modelsat and again in 2008, he was awarded most fashionable male model in East Midlands UK.  Another award came for him in 2009, when he won the nod for Best Male Model of the Year at the BEFFTA Awards (Black Entertainment Fashion Film Television and art Awards) in London.

Ibukun’s rise has also been highlighted by working with several African and European designers. He has hit the runway for shows like the London Fashion Week, London Alternative Fashion Week, Wimbledon Fasion Week, Croydon Fashion Week, Mahogany Bridal Show, Fashion Africa, and House of Fraser Fashion Show.

He recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a Bsc Honours in Information and Communication Technology and currently studying a Master’s programme in Management and Entrepreneurial E-Business. Ibukun recently has a shoot with top British media photographer Ellz Creation.
