One-Week Celebration Held In Honor Of The Late Theresa Kuffour
As tradition demands, a one-week celebration has been held in honor of the late former first lady of the Republic of Ghana and wife of Ex-President John Agyekum Kuffour, Mrs Theresa Aba Kuffour.
The event, which was held at Kuffour’s Peduase Residence in the Eastern Region today, October 11, 2023, saw a number of significant personalities from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and other political parties travel from the lengths and breadths of the country to mourn the former first lady.
Dignitaries who attended the ceremony included President Nana Akufo Addo and his wife Rebbecca Akufo Addo, Vice- President Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife Samira Bawumia, independent candidate Alan Kyeremanteng and his wife Patricia, Papa Kwesi Ndoum, Akosua Agyepong, Miss Frema Opare amongst many others.
According to the family, the late Theresa Aba Kuffour will be laid to rest on November 19, 2023, after she had been laid in state and a final funeral rite held for at the forecourt of the state house on November 16, 2023 and on November 18 in Kumasi.
The late Theresa Kuffour passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at age 87.
