Goldie (Nigeria)It’s been a week now after the sudden death of Nigerian singer, Goldie. As is customary with majority of Ghanaians,  we mark the one week of her death with these heart-touching tributes from Ghanaian stars!

“It saddens me to know she left this world so early in her life. She seemed so determined and focused on her career after bba and I admired her courage and desire! We spoke at the finals of bba 7 and I liked her! May her soul rest in peace.” –Eazzy/Mildred
“‘It still a shock to me and very unreal! Can’t understand how she passed away so sudden. She was kind loving and God fearing and I pray God grants her soul eternal peace !”-  Keitta
“I was overwhelmed when I heard of Goldie’s passing especially on the day on which the sad occurrence happened. We met in Nigeria only a few weeks ago and spoke briefly. She seemed like a very sweet person. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family, admirers and fans all over the continent. God wanted her next to him and she’s in a much better place now. God Bless her soul, Rest in Perfect Peace Goldie.”-  D-Black
“Before big brother Africa I saw Goldie as a crazy lady gaga like kind of character, and then she came into the BBA house and showed a new side to the character she portrayed in her music videos, she was vulnerable, sweet, a kind, caring sister and mother to most in the house and played the fool when she fell in love with prezzo. I remember I used to get so mad at her for falling for a player in the house but I realised behind the tough skin she was also human and had feelings and had the right to be in love. If one could read between the lines, we would have noticed that she had a lot going on and only her eyes could have said it all. Whatever she was going through, she must have enjoyed her life to the fullest and waited for that faithful day for God to call upon her. Goldie is in a better place, my heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones.”- Juliet Ibrahim
“I don’t even know what to say. She has been a friend since 2005 and I cant believe she passed away so suddenly. “– Mzbel
“I didn’t know her well but from the response she has been getting since her sad death, it is clear that she was loved and is still loved. May she rest in perfect peace and may her family and friends find peace also.”- Jackie Appiah
