Pascaline Edwards Claims Movie Stars Who Acquire Fortunes From Acting Are Telling Lies

Ghanaian movie star, Pascaline Edwards, has disclosed that her colleague actors and actresses who claim to have made a lot of money from just acting are telling nothing but lies.

The famed actress-turned-fashion designer in an interview with Onua FM’s ‘Adwuma Adwuma’ with Felicia Osei, asserted that the movie industry alone as a stream of income would not be able to provide anyone with the required resources to start a business or build a house.

Pascaline, further noted that acting is a passion-driven proffession that could throw you into celebrity status.

In the words of the actress who have stared in movies such as the mask, house arrest, Christ in me amongst other, “The movie industry propels you to a certain level. It gives you a brand. You may get Brand Ambassadorial deals and endorsement which can be lucrative but the income from the movies and set is inadequate.”

The movie star also cited the failure of production houses and filmmakers to pay them their wages. The Popular Actress to a greater extend advised the youth and upcoming actors not to rely entirely on the funds they receive from movies but to dive into other profitable businesses that can support them.

Pascaline Edwards was Ghana’s Best Female Actress in 2002 and is celebrated as an iconic actress who played several diva roles in her prime. She has acted in over a hundred movies and a number of stage productions.
