Photos from the burial of Asamoah Gyan’s mother

The mortal remains of the late mother of Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan and Baffour Gyan have been laid to rest. Local football’s big names, and some other sympathizers from the sporting fraternity turned up for the funeral over the weekend. It was a simple yet elaborate ceremony that saw an impressive number of people in attendance,  including a delegation from Ghana’s parliament, Black Stars coach Akwasi Appiah and his assistant Maxwell Konadu, and president of the Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi among others. There was also a musical performance from star Ghanaian actor and comedian Agya Koo. ]]>
