Outspoken Lawyer and Politician Ursula Owusu has now changed her status from being a bachelorette to married. The Member of Parliament for Ablekum West tied the knot over the weekend in an extremely private ceremony at her East Legon residence on Saturday October 19 2013. The lucky man who walked down the aisle with the affable female politician, is gentle UK-based Ghanaian ophthalmologist, Dr. Samuel Owusu Ekuful. The ceremony was attended by few close family members, Politicians and close friends. Some notable faces spotted included; Chairman Kwami Sefa Kayi and his wife, John Boadu, Sir John, Nana Asante Bediatuo, Freddie Blay and his wife Gina Blay among others.
Ursula Owusu, who cut short her honeymoon to appear on Thursday’s edition of Peace Fm’s “Kokrokoo” morning show, commenting on her wedding and her dear husband, reaffirmed her commitment to their new union.
“To my lovely husband; I promise you, I will do my best to make this work. He is a wonderful man and I can only talk about what God has blessed me with. I pray that everybody will be blessed with a happy marriage like the one God has blessed us with. He is a real gentleman; every woman’s dream.
Before marriage, it was my prayer that I don’t want to grow old alone; because God didn’t create us as solitary individuals and that is my prayer for every woman. Life is really what you make it and if you are really working at it, it will work. With God’s grace and a bit of hard work; with love and understanding and a healthy dose of patience, it can work”, Ursula said thanking everybody who was present to support them and apologized to those who are not happy because they were not invited adding that she wanted the special day to be very private.
Don’t forget to address Ursula Owusu rightly as Mrs. Ekuful because she is officially not alone now.
