So I have been spreading rumours on the low about a surprise venue for this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. It seems that plans are already in place to ‘spring up’ the surprise on Ghanaians this Saturday.
Construction staff are currently working tirelessly to put together an event marquee (or dome) which according to sources would be a legacy event centre for events powerhouse, Charter House.
The marquee is located on the right wing of the Accra International Conference Centre, where the main parking used to be. Putting up a marquee of this nature could take days to complete and run effectively.
So would the team be able to put it together on time; would it be safe to house the usually huge crowds that attend the Ghana Music Awards, alongside the thumping energy from performances on the night? Could the ceremony be possibly postponed for a later date?
