Rae Sremmurd Link With Flo Milli For New Single "Community D**k"

Multi-platinum duo Rae Sremmurd return today with Flo Milli in tow for their playful new summer single “Community D**k”out via Eardrummer Records/Interscope Records. Accompanied by a visual, the song is the perfect platform for Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, to flex their skills and their senses of humor. “Community D**k” is available now at all digital retailers.

Hip-hop thrives on pairing unexpected elements, and “Community Dick” pushes that notion to the extreme, marrying a squeaking mattress sample, the melody from “Jingle Bells,” and gleefully carnal raps from two of the genre’s greatest stylists. Swae promises to outperform the pro athletes and other rappers competing for one woman’s attention, while, later in the song, Jxmmi drops all that formality: “She was classy, but I f****d her in the sprinter van.

Rather than presenting an entirely male perspective, “Community D**k” is elevated by a star turn from Flo Milli, the acclaimed rapper from Mobile, Alabama, whose debut album You Still Here, Ho? was released last month. In her kinetic verse, she scoffs at baby mamas lurking on her Instagram but accepts a man’s promiscuous ways.

“Community D**k” comes complete with a video directed by Bryan Barber (Outkast’s “Hey Ya!,” UGK’s “International Players Anthem,” G-Unit’s “Stunt 101”), which imagines an actual business model: Swae and Jxmmi rolling around the city in a work van, popping up wherever their, well, services are needed. The video made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU, Yo! MTV and on the Paramount Times Square billboards.Watch it HERE.

“Community D**k” follows “Denial,” which was released in June and marked the brothers’ first song together in more than four years. Before that, Rae Sremmurd had established themselves as the preeminent melodicists in hip-hop, racking up innumerable hit singles from the moment they landed with 2014’s “No Flex Zone.” Their first two albums, 2015’s SremmLife and the following year’s SremmLife 2, were each certified Platinum, and the latter spawned the group’s first No. 1 hit, the Gucci Mane-assisted “Black Beatles.” SR3MM, from 2018, was groundbreaking in its own way, a triple-disc effort that saw each brother get his own LP’s worth of space to work solo, before tying them back together.
Their long-awaited follow-up, Sremm4Life, is expected this year. With anthems like “Denial” and “Community D**k,” it promises to be well worth the wait.

2022 Global Citizen Festival Campaign Culminates In $2.4 Billion To End Extreme Poverty

Global Citizen is proud to announce the 2022 Global Citizen Festival campaign has culminated in over $2.4 billion in commitments to end extreme poverty NOW.

The six-week campaign concluded with a nine-hour festival across two stages, beginning in Black Star Square in Accra, Ghana, presented by Harith General Partners, and ending in New York City’s Central Park, presented by Citi and Cisco.

The 2022 campaign saw 2 million actions taken by global citizens as part of Global Citizen’s mission to End Extreme Poverty NOW, more than doubling the record previously set by the international advocacy organization.

On the Global Citizen Festival: Accra stage, the governments of Ghana and South Africa announced the African Prosperity Fund, a joint initiative by the governments of Ghana and South Africa, which aims to deploy $1 billion to fund projects for economic inclusion and financial participation across the continent. The fund will focus on projects in the African Continental Free Trade Area, including infrastructure development, financial access for the participation of women and youth, education, healthcare, technology, and sustainability, all for the benefit of Africa’s 1.3 billion people.

Meanwhile, at Global Citizen Festival: NYC, U.S. members of Congress from both sides of the political aisle stood alongside world leaders, philanthropists, and trailblazers from the private sector to make announcements worthy of the 10-year history of the Global Citizen Festival. Over a video message, President Macron announced France will reallocate 30 percent of its Special Drawing Rights to the world’s poorest countries, specifically in Africa, to fight extreme poverty, pandemics, inequalities, and climate change.

The days leading into the 10th anniversary Global Citizen Festival saw major commitments from world leaders, including Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada and President von der Leyen of the European Commission, who respectively committed CAD $1.209 billion and €715 million at the seventh replenishment of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. During the Festival, Prime Minister Trudeau and President von der Leyen thanked global citizens for acting.

The following commitments were pledged at the 2022 Global Citizen Festival in Accra, Ghana and New York City:
