DStv viewers across Africa can tune into BET’s exciting new sitcom, ‘Reed Between The Lines’ this and every Tuesdays at 8.30pm and follow the Reeds, a family with an psychologist and English professor as mom and dad – children growing up in today’s ever-changing society, and a family friend who has not been so lucky in love.

‘Reed Between the Lines’ follows a modern-day blended family as they navigate life’s ups and downs with wit and humour, starring Tracee Ellis Ross as Dr. Carla Reed and Malcolm-Jamal Warner as Dr. Alex Reed.

There is also more exciting and educating viewing this week with documentaries, movies and more. Here are some quick highlights:

Mob Wives: The series follows four Staten Island women as they learn to live their lives while their husbands or fathers do time for Mob-related activities. They dress in furs, are dripping with gold and look every inch the gangster’s moll, but in reality they are trying to make it on their own as they battle their friends, families and each other to do what’s best for themselves and their children. It’s not easy to maintain the lifestyle they were once accustomed to when the family’s primary bread winner is in jail, but loyalty is everything to these long-time friends who live in New York City’s ‘forgotten borough’, Staten Island. From The Godfather and The Sopranos to My Cousin Vinny, these women are sick and tired of the fabrications and stereotypes that surround them. They are determined to finally set the record straight and show the world that whilst their lives may seem crazy at first glance, they love, laugh and get their hearts broken just like everyone else. From Saturday 10 December at 22:50 CAT.

The Fight (Premiere): From the brutal bare-knuckle days to the golden era of Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali, and on to the present day, brand-new series The Fight tells the thrilling story of boxing through the ages. A gripping international spectator sport that has excited and shocked audiences for 130 years, boxing continues to attain new relevance and a growing following as it forges itself a raw, fresh identity beyond the Las Vegas glitz of Lewis and Tyson. Documenting the evolution of this notorious but wildly popular sport, this definitive series combines exclusive fight footage, state-of-the-art historical reconstruction, image-matching techniques and archive footage, with interviews with some of the greatest fighters, trainers, promoters and commentators. Also featuring the views of a stellar line up of devoted fans including Martin Scorsese, Don King, Robert De Niro and Jay Z, The Fight is the ultimate ringside experience. From Tuesday 6 December at 21:05 CAT.

DStv audiences can tune into M-Net West on Friday 9 December at 01:00 CAT to watch as Silvia’s world only grows more nightmarish. As federal agent Tobin Keller digs deeper into his eyewitnesses’ past and her secretive world of global connections, the more suspicious he becomes that she herself might be involved in the conspiracy.
