As part of activities to mark the Samsung Week Celebrations from September 7- 9, the global consumer electronics manufacturer has launched Samsung Cultural Icon Competition in Ghana.  The contest, which is open to the public, aims to discover talents among young consumers in Ghana with regards to traditions and customs.

The Samsung Cultural Icon Competition which is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility is targeted at unearthing young talents from Cultural Troupes between the ages of 13- 25 under the theme “The True Spirit of our Drama, Dance and Poetry”.

Auditions for the competition will take place on Wednesday, September 7 at the National Theatre to enable such young talents to exhibit their creativity and knowledge on their cultural identity and values through dance, drama and poems in this era of Westernization.
